Timberframe Pool House - Edward Clark L.A.

Description

We designed the building, hardscape and plantings to evoke the feel of a rustic American landscape.   Using post and beam framing, alternating exterior materials and contrasting rooflines we modeled the pool house after a barn that would have evolved over time through multiple additions.  We selected the stone and closely managed the style of stone setting so it would be typical of the stone work which was present on historic buildings in the area.  The palette of plant material used was composed largely of grasses and perennials arranged to be reflective of a natural meadow.
